Amazon reported that it secured 108 clean energy projects in 2022, including 25 newly announced wind and solar deals, growing the company’s renewable energy capacity by more than 8 GW through the year. The new clean energy deals are part of the company’s commitment to powering its operations with renewable energy and reducing carbon emissions. And the renewable energy projects will result in a total of 1,290 MW of new clean energy capacity. This is an important step forward in helping to reduce global emissions and create a more sustainable future. In addition, Amazon emphasizes that it could perform operations with 100% renewable energy by 2025, which is ahead of its original 2030 target.
