Insurance Authority warns against fraudulent website
The Insurance Authority (IA) has issued an alert to the public regarding a fraudulent website with the domain name “https://www.oyos.link“. This website falsely claims to be the official website of an authorized insurer in Hong Kong, YF Life Insurance International Limited (YF). YF has confirmed that it has no connection to this fraudulent website.
The case has been reported to the Hong Kong Police Force for further investigation. The IA urges anyone who has provided personal information or conducted insurance transactions through this website to notify YF at (852) 2533-5555 and report the incident to the Hong Kong Police Force. The IA also reminds the public that any company carrying on insurance business in or from Hong Kong must be authorized by the IA under the Insurance Ordinance. The full list of authorized insurers can be found on the Register of Insurers on the IA website.
