Eurazeo Launches $800 Million Planetary Boundaries Solutions-Focused Buyout Fund
Investment management firm Eurazeo announced the launch of the Eurazeo Planetary Boundaries Fund (EPBF), a new thematic impact buyout fund targeting at least €750 million ($813 million). The fund aims to invest in future leaders focused on reversing or adapting to the overstepping of planetary boundaries – the nine intertwined processes that define the safe operating space for humanity within Earth’s ecological limits, six of which have already been crossed.
Eurazeo’s new fund will focus on boosting the regenerative and circular economy, and championing solutions for transition and adaptation, investing in small to mid-market companies, primarily in Europe, to scale them up through buy and build strategies across sectors like agriculture, waste, water, energy, and transport. The fund will tie a portion of its carried interest to achieving key impact performance indicators, underscoring Eurazeo’s commitment to measurable positive outcomes. With a team of investment professionals, operating partners, and impact experts, and the guidance of a distinguished advisory board, the EPBF represents Eurazeo’s strategic step to strengthen its positive impact, value-creating fund offerings for clients.
