Comcast Fully Allocates $1 Billion Green Bond to Sustainability Projects
Comcast Corporation has successfully allocated its $1 billion green bond, with $995 million directed towards sustainability projects to support its goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2035. Investments focused on green buildings, circular economy initiatives, clean transportation, energy efficiency, and renewable energy, in line with its Green Financing Framework. Notable projects include the sustainable Sky Studios Elstree, which runs on 100% renewable electricity, and the purchase of electric vehicles for technicians. Additionally, Comcast’s National Recycling Program aims to extend the lifecycle of equipment and reduce waste, contributing to a more than 30% decrease in emissions since 2019.
