Inaugural “Integrity Management Award” by ICAC and CIC encourages contractors to strengthen integrity management

The ICAC, in collaboration with the Construction Industry Council (CIC), launched the “Integrity Management Award” at the 2024 Outstanding Contractor Award to encourage better integrity management and corruption prevention in the construction sector. At the award ceremony on November 6, China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) Limited and Gammon Construction Limited were honored for their exemplary integrity practices. The introduction of the award, which aligns with the 75th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China and the ICAC’s 50th anniversary, highlights the sector’s commitment to integrity and anti-corruption. Fifteen contractors who adopted the Construction Industry Integrity Charter 2.0 competed for the award, demonstrating the sector’s growing focus on integrity. Since its launch in December 2022, over 500 companies have joined the Charter, with the ICAC continuing to provide support and training to promote integrity management in the industry.
