RBC Real Estate Fund Hits $5B Mark, Boosted by $250M Green Bond
RBC Global Asset Management Inc. announced that its RBC Canadian Core Real Estate Fund has surpassed $5 billion in gross asset value, following its fifth major transaction since 2019. This included acquiring a partial interest in 40 assets worth $860 million and selling interests in five assets for $175 million. To support its growth, the Fund issued a $250 million green bond and raised over $500 million in subscription proceeds, boosting its net asset value past $4 billion. Despite challenges posed by high interest rates and economic uncertainty, the Fund exceeded its targets and continues to integrate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations into its strategy. The Fund has also earned high recognition, including a five-star GRESB rating.
