The Global Financial Leaders’ Investment Summit, organized by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), concluded on November 19, 2024, with around 300 global and regional leaders from over 120 financial institutions. The event, themed “Sailing through changes,” focused on the challenges and opportunities arising from macroeconomic shifts, geopolitics, technological innovation, and climate change. Keynote speaker Vice Premier He Lifeng discussed China’s economic developments and support for Hong Kong as a global financial hub. HKMA Chief Executive Eddie Yue highlighted the summit’s role in fostering innovation, partnerships, and dialogue in Asia’s financial sector. The summit, which will be held annually, also featured panel discussions and a “Conversations with Global Investors” forum on November 20.
