On December 18, the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) and the Competition Commission signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance collaboration in tackling corruption and anti-competitive practices, further reinforcing Hong Kong’s reputation as a clean and fair society. The two agencies have previously worked together on joint operations targeting corruption and tender-rigging in building maintenance. The MoU outlines a framework for case referrals, intelligence sharing, joint investigations, and training. To strengthen future enforcement efforts, the ICAC and the Competition Commission also hosted their first joint operational training. This partnership aims to ensure a fair business environment, contributing to Hong Kong’s competitiveness and international standing.
