Trading and Clearing Arrangements of Haitong Securities Structured Products, Futures and Options

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) has outlined the trading and clearing arrangements for Haitong Securities Co., Ltd. (Haitong Sec) following its merger with Guotai Junan Securities Co., Ltd. (GTJA). As part of the corporate action, shareholders will exchange one Haitong Sec H Share for 0.62 GTJA H Shares, with the last trading day for Haitong Sec shares set for February 5, 2025. Upon completion of the merger, GTJA shares will replace Haitong Sec shares as the underlying asset for related structured products, necessitating adjustments to terms such as entitlement and exercise prices.
