Interest rate of third interest payment for Silver Bond Series due 2026

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority announced that the interest rate for the third interest payment of the Silver Bond Series due 2026 (Issue Number 03GB2608R) (the Bonds) issued under the Retail Bond Issuance Programme of the Government Bond Programme, scheduled for 18 February 2025, will be 5.00% per annum. This rate was determined based on the higher of the prevailing Floating Rate (+1.90%) and Fixed Rate (+5.00%), with the rates being announced on 4 February 2025.
