ICAC Chief visits Middle East to foster anti-graft collaborations
On February 28, 2025, ICAC Commissioner Woo Ying-ming led a delegation to Saudi Arabia and the UAE to strengthen anti-corruption collaborations. As President of the International Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities (IAACA), Woo met with Saudi Arabia’s Nazaha president to expedite joint projects and enhance anti-graft efforts in the region. The Hong Kong International Academy Against Corruption organized a training program for Nazaha officials, focusing on financial investigation and technology use. In the UAE, Woo signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the UAE Accountability Authority to deepen cooperation, marking the ICAC’s eighth such agreement. The delegation also examined local infrastructure projects and engaged with Chinese diplomats to discuss Hong Kong’s anti-corruption initiatives. They are scheduled to return to Hong Kong on March 1.
