SFC and Saudi Capital Market Authority extend dialogue on regulatory cooperation beyond landmark ETF listing

On May 29, 2025, the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) of Hong Kong and the Saudi Capital Market Authority (CMA) extended their dialogue on regulatory cooperation during a meeting in Hong Kong. SFC CEO Julia Leung and CMA Commissioner Abdulaziz Bin Hassan discussed enhancing collaboration and working towards a Memorandum of Understanding to promote cross-border investment initiatives. Their meeting coincided with the listing of Asia’s first investment grade Sukuk exchange-traded fund (ETF) in Hong Kong, highlighting the city’s commitment to strengthening regional market ties.
