The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) has published a revised Guideline on Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) for Authorized Institutions (AIs) in the Gazette. The revised AML/CFT Guideline will be effective from 1 June 2023 and AIs are advised to review and implement appropriate measures in line with the risk-based approach. The revised guideline is available on the HKMA website and supervisory communication website. Consultation conclusions summarizing key comments received during the consultation, along with a marked-up version of the revised AML/CFT Guideline, are attached to the letter and can also be found on the HKMA website.
