The Retail Green Bond of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China (Stock code: 4273) – Standard Application Form Template and Deal-Specific Briefing for Securities Brokers by Hong Kong Monetary Authority

The Government has introduced a new series of retail green bonds under the Government Green Bond Programme. To simplify and standardize the application process, a standard application form template has been provided for CCASS Clearing/Custodian Participants. This form includes the necessary information that participants should collect from investors for internal use. The form also includes confirmations and undertakings required from applicants. Additionally, a document called the “Retail Green Bond 2023 Standard Selling Protocol” is available for reference. CCASS participants can contact the co-arrangers at projectretailbondhk@hsbc.com.hk before noon on 8 September 2023 to obtain a copy. The Hong Kong Monetary Authority will organize virtual briefing sessions on 11 September 2023 to discuss important considerations for processing the applications.
