HKICPA signs MoU with ISCA to strengthen exchanges between the accounting professions in Hong Kong and Singapore
The Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) and the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance collaboration between the accounting professions in Hong Kong and Singapore. The MoU covers various areas of cooperation, including international recognition, professional training, networking opportunities, and knowledge sharing. The two bodies will work closely to establish a pathway for membership recognition, curate relevant training programs, facilitate networking events, and exchange resources and knowledge. The partnership aims to strengthen the accounting profession in both Hong Kong and Singapore and foster closer ties between the two economies. The signing of the MoU took place during a meeting between representatives of HKICPA and ISCA in Hong Kong. The agreement was signed by the respective Chief Executives and witnessed by the Presidents of both institutes. The presidents expressed their confidence in the partnership, emphasizing its significance in enhancing cooperation, creating value for members, and contributing to the success of the profession in both regions. By collaborating with ISCA, HKICPA seeks to strengthen its connections with international accounting bodies and uphold the highest professional standards, further solidifying Hong Kong’s position as an international financial center. HKICPA is the professional accountancy body responsible for training and developing certified public accountants in Hong Kong, while ISCA is the national accountancy body administering the Singapore Chartered Accountant Qualification program.
