The United Nations Sanctions (South Sudan) Regulation 2019 was amended by the South Sudan Amendment Regulation 2024, published on October 25, 2024, with immediate effect. This amendment implements sanctions from UN Security Council Resolution 2731, including an arms embargo, travel bans, and financial sanctions. Licensed corporations and SFC-licensed virtual asset service providers are reminded to review the AML/CFT Guidelines for compliance.
