Granting of banking licences

On October 31, 2024, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority granted banking licenses to Guanyin International Limited and KGI Bank Co., Ltd., increasing the total number of licensed banks in Hong Kong to 151. Guanyin International is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bank of Dongguan Co., Ltd., while KGI Bank is incorporated in Taiwan, China.
