Fong Lung, a former manager at FUJIFILM Business Innovation Hong Kong, admitted to fraud charges for arranging his mother, Cheung Lai-lin, to be employed as a temporary staff member and falsely reporting her working hours to claim over $420,000 in wages over 18 months. Between August 2021 and February 2023, Fong submitted fake timesheets to a human resources agency, misrepresenting that Cheung had worked 5,700 hours at FUJIFILM. Fong pleaded guilty to 18 counts of fraud, while charges against his mother were dropped. The case was adjourned for sentencing, and Fong was remanded in custody.
