White Summit Capital Secures More than €350M for Decarbonization Fund, Surpassing Half of Target
White Summit Capital has secured over €350 million in commitments for the first close of its Decarbonization Infrastructure Fund II, exceeding 50% of its €500 million target. Backed by more than 10 blue-chip investors, including the European Investment Fund, global asset managers, and institutional investors, the fund focuses on 8-10 mid-market infrastructure investments across Western Europe in areas like renewable energy integration, sustainable transport, and industrial decarbonization. Two seed investments have already been made: Powesco, a French energy-efficiency-as-a-service platform addressing a €40 billion market, and Transiziona, an Iberian renewable integration platform combining hydro, wind, solar, and storage technologies. Managing Partners Gonzalo López Medina and Pablo Pallas emphasized the fund’s focus on scaling platforms, downside-protected investments, and leveraging Europe’s energy transition momentum. With a second close expected in Q2 2025, White Summit Capital aims to capitalize on growing market opportunities driven by decarbonization and energy security.
