HKICPA participates in the Asian Financial Forum 2025: Explores new growth engines in global sustainability

The Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) participated in the Asian Financial Forum 2025(AFF), themed “Powering the Next Growth Engine”, to promote sustainable development and the adoption of the HKFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards (HKFRS SDS). HKICPA President Edward Au highlighted Hong Kong’s early alignment with ISSB Standards, reinforcing its status as a global financial hub and green finance leader. During the panel discussion “Setting Global Milestone in Sustainability”, Au emphasized the HKFRS SDS’s role in enabling consistent, comparable sustainability disclosures to enhance investor decision-making. The HKICPA also supported the AFF’s InnoVenture Salon, offering consultations to start-ups on ESG challenges, while showcasing its efforts in standard-setting and capacity-building at its booth.
