Insurance Authority imposes a four-month suspension on the licence held by Chan Lok Wang who falsified the signature of his client on a policy surrender form

The Insurance Authority (IA) has suspended the license of Chan Lok Wang for four months due to his act of falsifying a client’s signature on a policy surrender form. In December 2022, Chan misinterpreted a client’s request to surrender one insurance policy and, believing both policies were to be surrendered, forged the client’s signature on a second form, leading to the cancellation of both policies. The IA emphasized the importance of due diligence in handling policies to maintain public trust in the insurance industry.
