The Insurance Authority (IA) has banned insurance intermediaries Leung Wai Mei and Ip Ka Ying for 12 and 21 months, respectively, due to their involvement in fraudulent activities to meet sales targets. Leung falsified two policy applications using a client’s personal information and her son’s identity, while Ip fabricated eight applications using information from clients and friends and improperly accepted liability exclusions. The IA emphasized the seriousness of these premeditated acts, which undermine the integrity expected in the insurance industry.
