SFC bans Zhu Hong for 12 months and fines her $400,000 for fund management failures

The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has banned Ms. Zhu Hong, a director and former manager-in-charge at Kylin International (HK) Co., Limited, from engaging in regulated activities for 12 months and fined her $400,000 due to failures in managing private funds. Between August 2018 and July 2021, Zhu was responsible for approving borrowing agreements and implementing internal controls related to anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing. An SFC investigation revealed deficiencies in her oversight of these functions, leading to the sanctions.
