SFC and ADBI co-host roundtable to advance development of sustainable-related thematic instruments

On September 9, 2025, the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) and the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) co-hosted a roundtable during Hong Kong Green Week to discuss the advancement of sustainable finance in the Asia-Pacific capital markets. Senior officials from 12 jurisdictions participated in the Asia Climate Finance Dialogue, sharing insights on sustainable instruments such as green bonds, blue bonds, and ESG funds. The discussions focused on frameworks to enhance the use of these investment instruments and mobilize transition finance. This event marked the fifth roundtable under the Asian Climate Finance Dialogue Project, aimed at promoting climate-related disclosures and expanding climate finance in the region.
