Insurance Authority Consults the Public on Subsidiary Legislation for the Risk-Based Capital Regime Related to Requirements on Valuation, Capital and Regulatory Submissions

The IA has launched a public consultation on draft legislation for the Risk-based Capital (RBC) regime. The draft rules cover capital adequacy requirements, valuation of assets and liabilities, and submission of statements and reports to the IA. The RBC regime aims to enhance the financial stability of insurers, align Hong Kong with international standards, and promote better risk management practices. The public can provide feedback on the consultation until 16 January 2024.
