The Insurance Authority (IA) on 3 July 2024 wished to alert members of the public to a suspicious website with the domain name “https[:]//www[.]podenaz[.]com” containing information of a company named “Podenas Bank (Hong Kong)”. The company is not and has never been an authorized insurer or a licensed insurance intermediary under the Insurance Ordinance (Cap. 41) to carry on insurance business or regulated activities in or from Hong Kong.
