On August 14, 2024, the ICAC charged Fong Lung, a former manager at FUJIFILM Business Innovation Hong Kong Limited, and his mother, Cheung Lai-lin, with 18 counts of fraud. They are accused of falsely representing Cheung’s working hours to defraud over $400,000 in wages over 18 months. Fong allegedly arranged for Cheung to be listed as temporary staff through a human resources agency, although Cheung never worked at FUJIFILM. Both defendants were released on bail and will appear in court on August 16 for their plea. FUJIFILM cooperated fully with the investigation.
