The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has issued new guidelines for intermediaries distributing research reports on eligible Mainland exchange-traded funds (ETFs) under Stock Connect in Hong Kong. Since the launch of ETF Connect in July 2022, the scheme has expanded smoothly, with the latest guidelines aligning with the China Securities Regulatory Commission’s requirements for forwarding research reports of eligible Hong Kong ETFs on the Mainland. This move aims to enhance investor understanding and trading liquidity across both markets by ensuring compliant and professional circulation of product information.
