A former general manager and his subordinate at Kingworld Medicine Healthcare Limited, Watson Yau Wei-ching and Alen Yu Yuen-to, were charged with fraud for falsely representing consultancy and other services provided by a secretarial services company operated by Yu to defraud the company of over $1.1 million. Yau also faces an additional fraud charge. Their co-defendant, Chau Pak-ho, a business partner of Yu, was charged with money laundering for allegedly handling proceeds from the fraud. The charges stem from a scheme where Yau and Yu misrepresented invoices from Asia Great Services Limited to induce payments for non-existent services. The three defendants have been released on bail and will appear in court for further proceedings.
